Longing For Luscious Lashes?

It is an American infatuation. Every woman wants larger, fuller, more voluptuous…lashes. This obsession rivals the admiration of a woman’s décolleté—everyone wants her cilium enhanced anyway possible. So, I am here to share with you my tried and true professional tips. Everything you have ever wanted to know about enhancing your most coveted body part.

Latisse

My number one pick for growing lashes, hands down—is Latisse. All hair goes through three cycles: the anagen (growth phase), catagen (resting phase), and telogen (falling-out phase). Latisse increases the growth phase and voilà—doe-eyed lashes that are all yours, and in the blink of an eye. It is also the only FDA approved product for lash lengthening on the market. I’ve had patients in my practice, who are actually trimming their lashes—it’s that amazing. Latisse is available by prescription only but well worth a trip to your local medical provider.

theyre-real-mascara-by-benefit

With or without a lash-enhancing product, finding an amazing mascara product is an additional beauty challenge, and my absolute favorite mascara is: they’re real! by benefit. A couple whisks of this magic wand and a girl is good-to-go, and I might add, they have a very sassy ad campaign for this product. Coming in a very close second is LashBlast Fusion from CoverGirl. This is an Allure favorite and a staple in my makeup bag.

So, what is a girl to do if medical lash lengthening and magical mascara won’t satiate her ciliary appetite?  Buy them, of course. Lash bars are popping up all over town, and falsies are rivaling a mani and pedi as a regular must-have beauty service.  Note: my vote? Always go with mink, synthetic lashes just won’t do. And besides, it makes me feel oh-so-chic sporting a bit of mink.

Ciao for now,
